Smoking ban launched at Stirling bus station
The change came into force on Ne’er Day and covers both indoors and outside.
Councillors agreed to the change at a meeting before Christmas, saying the change would make for a more pleasant place.

Hide AdCouncillor Jim Thomson, who convenes the environment and housing committee,, said: “Shared spaces such as shelters and walkways should be safe, healthy spaces, and stubbing out smoking will bring improved air quality and reduce littering caused by discarded cigarettes.

“It was a logical step to update the rules.”
The no-smoking policy will cover areas not just within the buildings but the areas covered by the bus shelter canopies and the forecourt.
