Signal fault affecting rail services through Falkirk High

A signal problem at Edinburgh’s Waverley station is causing disruption between the capital and Glasgow.

Rail passengers are being warned of the ongoing signalling problem which is affecting some services on the main line through Falkirk High.

The issue is affecting trains entering and leaving platforms 11 and 12 at the city’s main station.

Posting on social media, ScotRail said engineers are on site and have identified a fault.

The rail operator said: “At the moment, this is only affecting some of our services between Edinburgh & Glasgow Queen St via Falkirk High in both directions. All other routes are running as normal right now.”

Some services may be delayed or cancelled as a result of the problem.
