Road reopens after lorry overturns on busy Falkirk roundabout

A busy road has now reopened after a lorry overturned on a roundabout early this morning.

The incident occurred at the Rosebank roundabout between Camelon Road and Main Street around 6am.

It was at the entrance to the Premier Inn and former Beefeater restaurant.

Luckily, it appears that no pedestrians were close by at the time the lorry overturned.

The vehicle is owned by Scrap A Car Scotland.com from Thornton in Fife.

There was major disruption to morning rush hour traffic while the recovery operation was carried out by McPhie Recovery from Philpstoun.

Traffic coming from the east was diverted to Lock 16 bridge while other current road closures contributed to congestion and delays being faced by drivers.

There are currently no updates on whether anyone was injured in the incident.

Police Scotland has been contacted for a comment.
