Pedestrian killed on M9 slip road near Stenhousemuir

A 54-year-old was knocked down on a busy stretch of motorway last night near Stenhousemuir.

The man was struck by a vehicle at 11.15 p.m. at junction seven of the M9 eastbound.

He was taken to the nearby Forth Valley Royal Hospital where he later died.

The M9 eastbound and the M876 eastbound were temporarly closed for some while collision investigations were completed.

Enquiries into the full circumstances surrounding this incident are ongoing. Anyone who can assist Road Policing officers with their investigation is asked to call 101.
