One of the main throughways into Falkirk town centre will close for five days next week, causing disruption for drivers.
A stretch of Cockburn Street, from Erskine Parish Church to the roundabout at the Howgate Shopping Centre car park, will close on Monday and will not reopen until Friday.
Work on the road, which is under 200m, will mean motorists face a two mile detour.
From a westerly direction, vehicles will need to travel on Cockburn Street, Tanners Road, Camelon Road, Glenfuir Road, Westburn Avenue and Cockburn Street. From the east drivers will take in Cockburn Street, Western Avenue, Glenfuir Road, Camelon Road, West Bridge Street and Cockburn Street.
The closure is to allow for drainage investigation works to be carried out safely.
