Falkirk district motorists to be impacted by M80 and M876 roadworks

Motorists in Falkirk district are set to be impacted by roadworks on stretches of the motorway.

Three overnight southbound carriageway closures are planned to allow for 1km of the M80 to be resurfaced.

The southbound carriageway of the M876 from Junction 1 and the southbound carriageway of the M80 between Junction 8 and 7 will be closed between 7pm and 6am on May 12, 13 and 14.

During these closures, diversion routes will be signposted for southbound traffic on both the M876 and M80.

Traffic travelling south on the M876 will be diverted from Junction 1 onto the A883, Falkirk Road, Main Street, Bonnybridge Road, the A803 and back onto the M80 at Junction 7 Haggs.

Road users travelling south on the M80 will be diverted via the M9 and onto the M876 before joining the M876 southbound diversion.

The northbound carriageways of the M80 and M876 will remain open throughout these works.

Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
