Emergency repairs for Clackmannanshire Bridge

The Clackmannanshire Bridge will partly close for emergency repairs for four days next week.

The essential maintenance will start on Monday night and finish on Friday morning as contractor Amey fix parapets on the A876 route across the River Forth.

The scheme requires alternate lane closures on the north and south carriageways with a contraflow system in operation. The road will re-open as normal outwith the time of these works.

The work will alternate between the north and south carriageways as follows: Northbound: Monday-Tuesday – 7.30pm-6am; Tuesday-Wednesday – 7.30pm-6am. Southbound: Wednesday-Thursday – 7.30pm-6am; Thursday-Friday – 7.30pm-6am.

There will also be a closure of the northbound footpath within the vicinity of the work, but provision will be made to allow for the safe passage of pedestrians and cyclists.

Amey say the work will ensure road users experience greater journey time reliability, continued safety and comfort.
