Denny bridge repair work to cause traffic disruption

Motorists in Falkirk district may face disruption when bridge repair work starts at a busy motorway junction.

Southbound traffic at the M876 Junction 1 will be restricted to a single lane from 10am until 4pm, Monday to Saturday from July 13 until August 10.

The partial closure will allow essential repair work to be carried out on the bridge over Denovan Road in Denny.

Denovan Road will be closed at this location for the duration of these works and a diversion route will be signposted via the B905 and A883 through Denny.

Physical distancing protocols, in line with Scottish Government guidance, will be in place to ensure all on-site personnel remain safe.

Thorough risk assessments will be carried out and cleansing stations will be implemented on-site.

The repair work project is weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if conditions are not favourable.
