All westbound lanes are restricted following the incident between junctions 6 at Earlsgate and 7 at Kinnaird.
Traffic Scotland say there could be disruption for to 30 minutes.
Traffic is currently at a standstill.
Caravan breaks free from car on M9 causing tailbacks
Traffic is delayed on the M9 this evening after a caravan broke free from the vehicle pulling it near the Kelpies.
