Severe traffic disruptions is expected in Falkirk town centre as resurfacing work gets under way this weekend.
The two-week project will start on Sunday at the top of Grahams Road between the Garrison Place roundabout and the one at Central Retail Park, with Falkirk Council warning drivers “significant” delays will be expected, especially at peak times.
A signed diversion route will be in place for the duration of the work and the council is urging motorists to avoid the area if possible.
A spokesman said: “Falkirk Council apologises for the disruption in advance and urges drivers to avoid the area during this time wherever possible.”
The road will have a new skid resistance material laid as well as being re-lined.
