Six-week road closure for water main upgrade

Traffic disruption is expected in the Slamannan area due to a six-week road closure by Scottish Water.

The B8022 near Pirnie Lodge Farm and Hill Farm will close on Monday (August 29) to upgrade the water mains. Diversions will be in place and access will be maintained for local residents, while work will stop for the Pedal for Scotland cycle race on September 11 for the event to take place.

A spokesperson for the company said: “We apologise for any inconvenience and thank affected road users in advance for their patience and understanding.

“Our work in the area will involve the upgrading of water mains to ensure customers continue to enjoy clear, fresh drinking water and to improve the security of supply.”
