Tesco plan to install barriers

Superstore giant Tesco has lodged a planning application with Falkirk Council to erect car park barriers outside one of its premises.

The firm is seeking permission to install two lifting barriers in the car park of its Central Retail Park store and is also looking to put further bollards in place, effectively closing the gaps between existing bollards outside the premises.

Central Retail Park has been subject to a number of measures in the past to try and curb so-called “boy racers”, including the addition of parking barriers and speed bumps on the Cineworld side of the site.
