Talks continue on Falkirk binmen's pay deal

ABANDONED bins might be a thing of the past if bosses can strike a deal with its refuse collectors.

The Falkirk Herald understands talks are underway with the unions to

thrash out a newarrangement. The shakeup could see every bin being emptied - even if its lid is not down.

The problem of overfull buckets has been an issue with householders since the colour-coded wheely-bins were introduced.

There have been complaints from council taxpayers that 'bucket men' have ignored kerbside containers that have bags piled on top citing

operational instructions.

Now the way the collection service operates is under the spotlight.
