Creative students from Forth Valley College have had a taste of the silver screen from two independent film makers.
Simon Jake from Brightons and Denny’s Barry Frame of Haggis Western Films spoke to over 100 students from various courses earlier this month about their experiences of working in the industry, from writing and directing to casting and soundtracks.
And they also shared stories from their latest release The Last Love Letter which will be screened again at Cineworld Falkirk on Thursday, March 31.
Simon said: “I really enjoyed the talk; it was great talking to like-minded people about our experiences making films.
“We covered most aspects of filming, editing and sound design.”
Angelene Perry, learner development worker who organised the event, said: “Simon and Barry brought real film-making experience to the students and kept them captivated for the two hour presentation.
“Their breadth of experience was invaluable and I believe students left inspired to complete their own projects and develop their many talents.”
The Last Love Letter, which was filmed at various locations around the district, premiered at Cineworld last year, telling the story of Steve Brody, a man who hides a dark childhood secret.
