It turned out the ‘purr-fect’ weekend for actor Adam Lake as he filled TWO roles when a scene from the musical ‘Cats’ was filmed for a top TV

The 23-year-old from Stenhousemuir is understudy for Rum Tum Tugger and Bill Bailey, the acrobatic cat, for the Andrew Lloyd Webber production’s new 12-week stint at the famous London Palladium.

The West End run will be launched this weekend with an appearance for the cast on ITV’s ‘Sunday Night at the Palladium’.

And Adam, who is currently a member of the European tour cast, got more than he bargained for when filming started.

Mum Lisa explained: “At the last moment, he was told that the two actors playing the roles were unable to perform, so he had to take on both parts!

“We’re hoping we get more than a glimpse of him on television!”

ITV’s ‘Sunday Night at the Palladium’ starts at 7 p.m.
