While giving updates on the progress of local companies in national competitions I indicated none had progressed to the Scottish final of the Masterteam Quiz. Despite being a question-master in one heat of the last round, I had not been appraised that 1st Denny & Dunipace had not only won their heat and moved to that final but in so doing had the top overall score from all the heats. George Barrowman also informs me that they are through to the last eight in the chess competition. Well done lads and good luck in the Scottish Masterteam Final which will be held on February 27.

It will feature Bill Wishart from the Lothians, as MC and outreach speaker; Andrew Butchart, potential Olympic runner, a former Stirling BB member; ‘Rise’, the Larbert Pentecostal Christian Rock Band; Falkirk People’s Church Puppets; as well as items provided by local BB companies. Numbers from companies to Morag Wales for issue of tickets, fliers and posters.
