Councillor Balfour has been planning to paint the Rannoch Park Pavilion in partnership with the Friends of Rannoch Park community group and has asked the pupils to design two murals to brighten up the building and the park.

He said: “Myself and colleagues in the Friends of Rannoch Park group have made many improvements to the park over the last few years and now it is time that the pavilion was improved.

“I am absolutely delighted to be working with the pupils from Carrongrange School who are doing fantastic work designing vibrant murals that will brighten up Rannoch Park Pavilion. Carrongrange School is moving to Grangemouth in 2017 and I am really looking forward to continuing to work with the school and the pupils on future projects.

“This project will hopefully help them feel they are a welcome part of our community.”
