Special day beckons for Kincardine Children's Gala

Kincardine Children's Gala Day celebrates a major milestone on Saturday when it turns 40!

The ever-popular event gets under way at 12.15pm when the royal party, accompanied by the traditional floats and bands, leaves Station Green.

It will make its way along Station Road, Elphinstone Street, Standalane, Kellywood, Toll Road and Kirk Street before arriving at Burnside Park.

There new queen Kira Lattka will be crowned with the ceremony starting at 1pm.

A series of displays will follow - including bands, dancing, a magician and a dog agility show - while there will be a range of other attractions, such as trampolines, quad bikes, a climbing wall and pony rides, in the park as well.
