Somme score from Tryst
Falkirk Tryst Orchestra will be the first in Scotland to perform a new score to commemorate the Battle of the Somme.

The orchestra, conducted by Robert Tait, started rehearsals for the Somme 100 event on Monday at Falkirk Trinity Church ahead of the performance on October 7 at Falkirk Town Hall.
It will consists of a screening of a 1916 documentary film about the battle accompanied by new music written by Scottish composer Laura Rossi.
