Last Sunday’s service was conducted by the Reverend Murdo Campbell who introduced Monica MacDonald O.L.M. to the congregation. During the service, Monica gave the childrens address and a lovely solo was sung by Grace Douglas. On door duty were Linda Mcgarry and Ray Buchanan. Monica will give her first service this Sunday at the usual time of 11.15 a.m. and a warm invitation is extended to all. The funeral service for Christine Russell took place on Wednesday, October 1 and our deepest sympathy goes to the family. Please note the change of date - the Congregational Board will now meet on Wedneday, October 15 at 7 p.m. followed directly by the session meeting. The Sunday School will resume on Sunday, October 19, at 11 a.m. in Slamannan Bowling Club, all children from three years of age are welcome to come along and meet new friends while enjoying arts, and crafts, games, songs and stories. Lodge St John Slamannan No 484 - On Wednesday, September 17 RW Master James Kerr gave a warm welcome to a large attendance of members and visitors. He also welcomed the P.G.M. Andrew McKinnon and his Deputation who witnessed four candidates being initiated in the first degree. They were congratulated by the assembled brethren. The R.W.M. and the P.G. Master presented Brother George McIntosh with his 50 year jubilee certificate. After kind sentiments were exchanged he was congratulated for his attendance as a faithful member of Lodge 484. The Annual Installation will be held on Saturday, October 18 at 6.30 p.m. Master Elect - Graham McComb. Installing Masters P.M.L. McComb., P.M.J.Kerr, P.M.C. Reid. Visitors will be made welcome.
