Angling Club

Permits to fish on the River Avon for season 2015 are now on sale. They are available from Linda’s Store (Slamannan); Rod and Creel (Carronshore); Go Fishing (Grahams Road, Falkirk) and also in Maryanne’s Alterations (Bo’ness), Linlithgow Post Office, Curries Printers in Broxburn and Livingston Angling (Houston Industrial Estate). Masonic News

Lodge St John Slamannan No 484 - on February 18, R.W. Master Graham McComb and R.W.P.G. Master Andrew McKinnon presented Past Master John Reid with his Jubilee Certificate for serving 50 years as a Freemason in Lodge 484. The R W M thanked John for all his hard and sterling work that he has contributed to his mother lodge throughout the years. He was a credit to the lodge and was held in high esteem throughout the province. He congratulated John and wished him good health to be with us for many years in the future. The R.W.P.G.M congratulated John on behalf the Grand Lodge of Scotland and Provincial Grand Lodge of Stirlingshire. John expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation with a suitable reply. He received a rousing applause from the assembled Brethren.

Lodge Meeting

The March meeting of LOL227 takes place tonight (Thursday) in Limerigg Village Hall at 7.30 p.m.

Parish Church

Last Sunday’s service was conducted by the Rev. Kaye Brown. On door duty was Robert Campbell. It was lovely to welcome our organist Elizabeth Farley back after her recent ill health. Please note the change of date for the SAM; this meeting will now take place on Sunday, March 22 directly after morning worship. All members are encouraged to attend. The World Day of Prayer will be held in Shieldhill Parish Church tomorrow (Friday) at 7 p.m. A warm welcome is extended to all to share in this worldwide day of prayer.
