Last Sunday’s service was conducted by the Rev. Monica MacDonald. Scripture readings were by Lady Jane. On door duty was Robert Campbell. The S.A.M. will take place this Sunday, March 22, directly after the morning worship. All members are encouraged to attend and will be made very welcome. There will be a ‘Daffodil tea’ held at ‘Ardtalla’, Kirkburn, Slamannan, on Saturday, March 28, from 10 a.m. till 2 p.m. All are welcome. to come along for this lovely event. The Holy Week services for the Braes area are: Monday, March 30, Slamannan; Tuesday, March 31, Wallacestone; Wedneday, April 1, Polmont; Thursday, April 2, Laurieston (Maundy Thursday); and Friday, April 3, Brightons (Good Friday). Brass Band Concert
Our last meeting went well and we learnt a lot about First Aid from Tom Whalley. The theatre visit to the MacRobert Centre will be on Saturday to see ‘The Drowsy Chaperone’. The bus will leave the Community Centre at 12.45 p.m. This will be followed by High Tea at the Royal Hotel in Bridge of Allan. On April 1 we will celebrate our 63rd birthday party. This will be held at the Abbotsinch Hotel in Grangemouth. The bus will leave at 6.15 p.m. from Slamannan Community Centre.
Slamannan Youngster’s Focus Group would like to invite P7-S4 young people along to an event on Saturday, March 28 in Slamannan Community Centre from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. If this is you then please come along and tell us what is good about Slamannan and what things would make it better.
