Parish Church

Last Sunday’s service was conducted by the Rev. Danny Mathers. Scripture readings were by Ray Buchanan. On door duty was John Johnstone. The funeral service for Christine Hoggan took place on Tuesday and the funeral service for Elizabeth Maxwell (Lizzie) yesterday (Wednesday). Our deepest sympathy goes to both families. A Rose tea will be held at “Ardtalla” Kirkburn, Slamannan on Sunday, June 21 at 2 p.m. Home baking, raffles, crafts and tombola stalls will be available. Teas will also be served. Anyone wishing to donate items for any of the stalls should hand them into Linda’s shop. Tickets are now on sale for the 60’s night in the bowling club on Friday, June 26. A warm welcome is extended to all for both events. For more information, telephone (01324) 851680. The sacrament of Holy Communion will be celebrated this Sunday at the usual time of 11 a.m. A fellowship tea will be served after the service. Anyone requiring the services of a minister should contact the Rev. John Jenkinson on (01324) 625498 who will be covering pastoral care while the Rev. MacDonald is on holiday.
