Parish Church

Last Sunday’s service was led by the Rev. Danny Mathers. On door duty was Linda McGarry. Scripture readings were by Lady Jane and Ray Buchanan. There will be a rose tea on Sunday, June 21 at 2 p.m. at Ardtalla, Kirkburn, Slamannan, there will be no tickets for this event, but donations will be gratefully received for the church restoration fund. There will be a raffle, tombola, crafts and cake stall. A few tickets are left for the ‘60s night on Friday, June 26 in the Bowling Club, please see Linda, Janette or Agnes. Angling Club

Permits to fish on the River Avon for season 2015 are now on sale. They are available from Linda’s Store (Slamannan); Rod and Creel (Carronshore); Go Fishing (Grahams Road, Falkirk) and also in Maryanne’s Alterations (Bo’ness), Linlithgow Post Office, Curries Printers in Broxburn and Livingston Angling (Houston Industrial Estate).
