Parish Church

Last Sunday’s service was conducted by the Reverend Helen Cook. On door duty were Charlene Condeco and Fiona Miller. Bible reading was by Charlene Condeco. The Pastimes and Yesteryears event will take place tomorrow (Friday, April 4), from 4-7 p.m. and Saturday, April 5, from noon till 4 p.m. Teas will be available at a small cost. A lot of research and hard work ahs been put into this event, so we invite you to come along and see many picture, stories and items from the past. The Friendship Group will meet on Tuesday, April 8, at 7 p.m. The congregational board will meet on Wednesday, April 9, at 7 p.m .followed directly by the session meeting. This Sunday’s service is at the usual time of 11.15 a.m. Sunday School meet at the same time and is open to all children of primary school age. The Holy Week services in the Braes are: Monday, April 14, Wallacestone; Tuesday, April 15, Polmont; Wednesday, April 16, Redding and Westquarter; Thursday, April 17, (Maundy Thursday), Brightons; Friday, April 18 (Good Friday), Muiravonside. Angling Club

Permits to fish on the River Avon for season 2014 are now on sale and will make an ideal present. They are available from Linda’s Store (Slamannan); Rod and Creel (Carronshore); Go Fishing (Grahams Road, Falkirk) and also in Maryanne’s Alterations (Bo’ness), Linlithgow Post Office, Curries Printers in Broxburn and Livingston Angling (Houston Industrial Estate).
