Last Sunday’s service was conducted by the Reverend Monica MacDonald. On door duty was Charlene Condeco. This Sunday’s service is at the usual time of 11 a.m. The Kids Club meet at the same time and is open to all children from three years of age. Prayer time is at 10.40 a.m. All welcome. Donations to the Falkirk Foodbank are still ongoing and non-perishable items can be bought along any Sunday. There will be a Prize Bingo on Wednesday, April 29 at 7 p.m. in the Bowling Club in aid of church refurbishment funds, there are some lovely prizes with tea being served after bingo. If you don’t have a ticket you can pay at the door. Anyone requiring the services of a minister should contact Reverend MacDonald on (01324) 874807.
Due to the fact that the General Election will be held on Thursday, May 7 at Slamannan Community Centre, the building will be closed from noon on Wednesday, May 6. Slamannan SWI will be required to move to an alternative venue for our AGM on that evening. The new venue will be notified in the Falkirk Herald on Thursday, April 30. Please accept apologies for this situation which is unavoidable.
Permits to fish on the River Avon for season 2015 are now on sale. They are available from Linda’s Store (Slamannan); Rod and Creel (Carronshore); Go Fishing (Grahams Road, Falkirk) and also in Maryanne’s Alterations (Bo’ness), Linlithgow Post Office, Curries Printers in Broxburn and Livingston Angling (Houston Industrial Estate).
