The April meeting of LOL 227 takes place tonight (Thursday) in Limerigg Village hall at 7.30 p.m.
The service on Palm Sunday was conducted by the Rev. Danny Mathers. On door duty was Ray Buchanan. The children from the kids club did scripture readings led by Amy Guerts, one of our young helpers at the club who read from Matthew 21: 1-11. ‘Jesus came to Jerusalem as King’. Lucy Whyte and Charys Penn read from Romans 10:5-18. ‘The message of salvation to all’. During the service Grace Douglas sang a lovely solo. The Holy Week service on Monday was also led by the Rev. Danny Mathers. Readings were by Grace Douglas and Ray Buchan, while Lady Jane and Linda McGarry welcomed everyone at the door. During the service a few women from the congregation sang the beautiful Easter song ‘Sitting at the feet of Jesus’. Thanks to all the ladies who provided and served the teas for this wonderful service. The Daffodil Tea held at Ardtalla last Saturday, realised the sum of £535 for the restoration fund and grateful thanks to all who supported and helped in anyway. The next social event is April 29, a prize bingo in the Bowling Club. A warm invitation is extended to you and your family and friends to come along and join us at the family service. Tea will be served after worship. Anyone requiring the services of a minister, should contact the Rev. Monica MacDonald on (01324) 874807.
