Singers raise funds for local groups

A volunteer singing group has donated a total of £5728.16 to two local charities who help those living with dementia.

Bo’ness Belles generated the fantastic amount last year through singing at various different events and recording a CD.

The beneficiaries of their generosity were the Tuesday Club at St Andrew’s Church in Bo’ness and the Sunshine Singalong group at St Michael’s in Linlithgow – who received £2864.08 each. The Bank of Scotland also donated £500 included in the total.

Jeni Mallace, chief Belle said: “We are very pleased with our overall total which will be split between the two charities. This also means that we have now raised over £11,000 for charity over the last two years, just from doing something we love. I am very proud of all my girls.”
