Last Sunday’s service was conducted by Amanda MacQuarrie. Worship this Sunday will be at the usual time of 10 a.m. Children are welcome at the Sunday School in the church hall at 9.45 a.m. The Banner/Craft group meets on Friday in the church hall at 2 p.m. The first film of the season ‘Bugsy Malone’ will be shown in the church tomorrow (Friday) at 7 p.m. Refreshments will be served. Adults and children are welcome. Guild sessions begin on Wednesday, October 1, at 7.30 p.m. in the church hall. Amanda MacQuarrie will be the guest speaker. Both men and women are welcome. Sunday morning services are recorded and a CD is available for anyone who is housebound or unable to attend church. Shieldhill & California Community Council’s next meeting and AGM will be held in the Community wing, next to Shieldhill Primary School tonight (Thursday) at 7.30 p.m. All are welcome if you have any issues you wish to raise or highlight please attend.
Shieldhill Community Education Association is holding its Annual General Meeting on Thursday, October 2 at 7.30 p.m. in Shieldhill Community Wing. All groups must be represented. New members most welcome. This meeting will be followed by an ordinary committee meeting.
The Junior Youth Club is on Wednesday evenings. Senior Youth club - Monday evenings, P7–S1: 7–8 p.m., S2+: 7.45–9 p.m., admission 50p per session, school term time only.
Timeout-14, the Friday programme for boys and girls, with choruses, quizzes, a Bible story and juice and biscuits, takes place this Friday at 6.30 p.m. All children, and mums and dads, are invited to come. The Christian gospel will be preached on Sunday at 6.30 p.m. (note time), when the speaker will be Mr Jonathan Lester from Livingston.. All are invited to come and hear this important message. The Mums and Tots continues on Wednesday morning at 9.30 a.m. with play facilities free, and tea and coffee available. Everyone is free to come and go as they please.
