Rev. Louise McClements conducted last Sunday’s service which was immediately followed by the ASM. This Sunday’s Baptismal service on March 22, will be at the usual time of 10 a.m. Children and apprentices meet in the hall at 9.45 a.m. The Banner/Craft group meets on Friday, from 2-4 p.m. in the church hall. All are welcome. Guild meets on Wednesday, March 25, at 7.30 p.m. in the church hall for a “Let’s Share” topic evening. All welcome. Braes area Holy week services being on Monday, March 30 in the following venues: Monday, March 30, Slamannan Bowling Club; Tuesday, March 31, Wallacestone Methodist Church; Wedneday, April 1, Polmont Old Parish; Thursday, April 2, Laurieston Parish Church; and Friday, April 3, Brightons Parish Church. All services start at 7 p.m. Sunday services are recorded and a CD is available for those who are housebound or unable to attend church. Timeout-15, the weekly programme for boys and girls, continues on Friday at 6.30 p.m. with a programme of choruses, quizzes, a Bible story, and juice and biscuits. All children are invited, with mums and dads as well. The Christian Gospel will be preached on Sunday at 6.30 p.m. (note time) when the speaker will be Mr John Currie from Glenrothes. All are invited to come and hear this important message. The Mums and Tots continues on Wednesday at 9.30 a.m. with free play facilities for children and tea and coffee on supply for the parents. Shieldhill Primary School is hosting a Farmers Market on Friday, March 27 at 10 a.m. The children are busy making items to sell at their Market Stall on the day. the market will take place in the library.
Shieldhill & California Community Council’s next meeting will be held in the Community wing, next to Shieldhill Primary School on Thursday, March 26 at 7.30 p.m. All are welcome - if you have any issues you wish to raise or highlight please attend.
