Parish Church

Last Sunday’s service was conducted by Rev. Louise McClements. Next Sunday’s Baptismal service will be at the usual time of 10 a.m. Children and apprentices meeting in the hall at 9.45 a.m. The Bereavement Service for anyone who has lost a loved one, more recently or in the past, will be held in church at 7 p.m. on Thursday, January 29. All are welcome. The Banner/Craft group meets on Friday in the chruch hall from 2-4 p.m. All are welcome. The Guild meets on Wednesday, February 4, at 7.30 p.m. when Anne Marie Macklin will talk about “The History of Optics”. All are welcome. Sunday services are recorded and a CD is available is for those hwo are housebound or unable to attend. Community Council

Shieldhill & California Community Council’s next meeting will be held in the Community wing, next to Shieldhill Primary School tonight (Thursday) at 7.30 p.m. All are welcome. If you have any issues you wish to raise or highlight please attend.

Gospel Hall

Timeout-15, the Friday programme for boys and girls, continues on Friday at 6.30 p.m. with a programme of choruses, quizzes, a Bible story, and juice and biscuits. All children are invited, with mums and dads as well. The Christian Gospel will be preached on Sunday evening at 3.30 p.m. (note time) when the speaker will be Mr Sandie Brownlie from Galston. All are invited to come and hear this important message. The Mums and Tots continues on Wednesday at 9.30 a.m. with free play facilities for children and tea and coffee on supply for the parents.
