Parish Church

Last Sunday, Guides, Brownies and Rainbows were welcomed for the annual Thinking Day Service which was conducted by Rev. Louise McClements. The Communion Service this Sunday will be at the usual time of 10 a.m. Children and apprentices will meet at 9.45 a.m. in the hall. The Craft/Banner group meets on Friday from 2-4 p.m. All are welcome. Guild meets next Wednesday when Jane Allan from Crossreach will be the speaker. All welcome. The World Day of Prayer Service will be held in Shieldhill Church on Friday, March 6 at 7 p.m. Articles for the church magazine should be submitted by March 1. Sunday services are recorded and a CD is available for those who are housebound or unable to attend church. The magazine, photo gallery and other church information is available on the website

Community Council

Shieldhill & California Community Council’s next meeting will be held in the Community Wing, next to Shieldhill Primary School tonight (Thursday) at 7.30 p.m. All are welcome. If you have any issues you wish to raise or highlight please attend.

Gospel Hall

Timeout-15, the Friday programme for boys and girls, continues on Friday at 6.30 p.m. with a programme of choruses, quizzes, a Bible story, and juice and biscuits. All children are invited, with mums and dads as well. The Christian Gospel will be preached on Sunday afternoon at 3.30 p.m. (note time) when the speaker will be Mr Willie Robertson from Hamilton. All are invited to come and hear this important message. The Mums and Tots continues on Wednesday at 9.30 a.m. with free play facilities for children and tea and coffee on supply for the parents.
