Roses are red, violets are blue, who’s the most romantic couple known to you?
With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, The Falkirk Herald has teamed up with several local businesses to offer a fabulous prize to mark this most special time of the year.
We want to find the district’s most loved-up pair. Whether they met six months or sixty years ago, if they can demonstrate that romance has an important part to play in their relationship then we want to hear about them.
And the couple judged the most romantic by Falkirk Herald readers will win a great prize, including a wonderful night out with a slap up meal at the town centre’s newest eatery, Johnston’s Bar and Bistro in Lint Riggs.
To ensure they are looking their best, Stacey Leigh Spalding will provide full evening make-up, while Debbie Flood will do hair styling. The lucky lady from the winning couple will also be given a beautiful Jolaby dress provided by Jill Laidlaw of Bamboo Boutique in Lower Newmarket Street.
The winning pair will also be photographed at a location of their choice by Emma Gray Photography.
Stacey Leigh, who has recently being doing make-up for hit BBC comedy ‘Mrs Brown’s Boys’, said: “Valentine’s Day is all about indulging yourself – and your partner. It’s about finding that perfect outfit, pampering yourself to get ‘the’ look you’ve always wanted and enjoying a romantic meal together.
“It’s also about giving a present that encapsulates how happy you are together, a gift that reminds you of how perfect Valentine’s Day 2013 was – a photograph.”
Urging couples to enter or others to nominate a loving couple, she added: “This competition shows that people don’t have to travel outside of Falkirk to get everything they need for a memorable February 14.
“We are five new businesses based in the town who know, by working together, we can provide a couple with the glamour, fine tastes and memories they long for on the most romantic day of the year.”
To be in with a chance of winning this fantastic prize, tell us in no more than 50 words, why you deserve to come top. It could be that the man in your life brings you bunches of flowers every week, you always hold hands or still insist on having a ‘date night’ every week. Whatever the romantic gestures are, we want to hear about them.
Send your entry to Valentine’s Competition, The Falkirk Herald, Unit 4A, Gateway Business Park, Beancross Road, Grangemouth FK3 8WX or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. Don’t forget to include your name and contact details.
Closing date for entries is noon on Friday, January 25.
