Improvement works mean the A876 at Junction 3 Bowtrees, near Airth, will be close overnight on Wednesday, May 20 and Thursday, May 21.

The southbound off-slip will be closed from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Wednesday and Thursday.

Traffic from the A876 will be diverted off at the minor slip road prior to Junction 3, which runs parallel with the works. Traffic will then follow this slip road until it reaches the roundabout where the diversion and works end and it can re-join the M876.

Lane one of the main M876/A876 trunk road will also be closed to ensure the safety of road workers and the travelling public.

This work, valued at £190,000, has been commissioned by Transport Scotland to ensure the 3700 or so road users travelling this stretch of the A876 each day are assured of greater journey time reliability and comfort.
