Methodist Church

Last week’s service led by Rev. Dr Mark Jason was a special one for the friends and family of Davy and Linda Jamieson as it included the baptism of their little granddaughter. It was so nice to see so many people there extending all good wishes to the little girl, lots of good-hearted laughter and great hymns. This Sunday, devotions are led by that well kent individual, Mr Donnie Caldwell. Waiting to welcome you to worship will be Dorothy Tavendale and Jessie Young. As usual, coffee and tea on offer after devotions - all are very, very welcome.

Free Colliers

The annual Free Colliers march around the Braes is taking place on Saturday. Affectionately known as the ‘Pinkie March’ because members the Sir William Wallace Grand Lodge of Free Colliers link the fingers as a symbol of solidarity. The march leaves Reddingmuirhead Community Hall at noon and dedication speeches will be read at the Redding Pit Disaster Memorial at around 12.30 p.m.
