Free Colliers

The next meeting is tonight (Thursday) at 7.30 p.m. and will be in the Junior Degree, all brethern welcome. Our book ‘Let Brotherly Love Continue’, written by Ian Scott, providing the history of the Free Colliers is now available from the lodge priced £8.

Methodist Church

John Coutts was unable to lead worship last Sunday but the service went ahead in the very capable hands of Mr Willie Lochhead from Armadale. Devotions on Sunday are scheduled to be led by Rev. Hilda Warwick. Extending the hand of fellowship on this occasion will be Ann and Donnie Caldwell. The opportunity to have a good blether with your friends is facilitated by having tea/coffee at the conclusion of the service.

Burns Night

1st Reddingmuirhead Girls’ Brigade is hosting a Burns supper and Scottish night to raise funds for the company and Wallacestone Methodist Church. This will be held on Friday, February 27 from 7.30 p.m. in the Community Centre in Reddingmuirhead. It includes supper and entertainment and is a Bring Your Own Bottle event. Tickets are available from Allison on 07791 310 508. The evening includes a piper, speeches, entertainment and supper, all for the bargain price of £5. Donations of raffle prizes will be gratefully received.

Afternoon Tea

An Afternoon Tea (for men and ladies) is being held in the Methodist Church in Reddingmuirhead on Saturday, March 7 between 2-4 p.m. Tickets are £4 and there will be stalls available to treat yourself or buy a gift for Mother’s Day the following weekend.
