Prize Bingo

The Unity Club is holding a prize bingo tomorrow (Friday) at 7.30 p.m. sharp for eyes down. Entry is 50p and great prizes to be won. Everyone welcome.

Credit Union

Savings are safe with Falkirk District Credit Union and low cost loans are available once regular savings established. Anyone who lives or works in the area within the boundary of Falkirk Council can join, junior savers welcome. For details on how to join please phone the main office in Grangemouth on (01324) 473695, visit our website or pop into your local branch at Westquarter Community Project, Westquarter Primary School which is open every Thursday from 10 a.m.-noon. If you are interested in volunteering at all please call or ask at collection. The annual general meeting is on Thursday, January 29 at 6.45 p.m. within Youth and Community Wing, Abbots Road, Grangemouth.

Redding Church

On Sunday past the call to worship was with Rev. Mary Henderson who conducted the sermon on Truly Perfect with readings from Old Testament Genesis 32 and New Testament from Mathew 6 were read by Mrs Janice Deans. On Sunday the service is at 11.30 a.m. There will also be an opportunity to join the Sunday Schools of Laurieston, Redding and Westquarter at 6.30 p.m. in Redding Church for a joint Christingle service. Tea and mince pies will be served in the hall after this service. So why not come along to a warm welcome from the children. The Sunday Club is busy offering a Christmas bauble for a £1. You will be able to write your Christmas message to friends at church on the back and the Sunday Club members will read them out over the coming weeks then hang on the tree. All donations are going to Chas. Also, their ‘bring a gift for under the tree’ for Women’s Aid on November 30 and December 7 only this year to give time for them to be distributed at the annual party. If you choose to wrap your gift please don’t forget to label it with details of whom it would be suitable for. Don’t forget you can also donate to the food bank on the four Sundays of Advent on November 30 and December 7, 14 and 21. There will be a box in church for this. A few spaces remain on the sheet for a visit from Mary and Joseph but hurry as spaces are filling up fast. Sheet is in the hall so don’t forget to add your name to this. The last Guild lunch of the year is on Tuesday, December 2 at 1 p.m. in the Hall. Don’t need to be a member of the Guild for this all are welcome so why not come along and join in.

Community Council

The next meeting of the Lower Braes Community Council will be held on Wednesday, December 3 at 7 p.m. in Westquarter Primary School. All are welcome to attend. Please come along.
