Committee AGM

Westquarter Community Project management committee will be holding its annual general meeting on Tuesday, May 26 at 6.30 p.m. in Westquarter Community Wing, Westquarter Avenue. All interested parties welcome.

Church News

Redding and Westquarter Church. The minister Rev. Mary Henderson conducted the baptism of Cheryl and Daisy who were then welcomed in to the church by the congregation. The Bible readings were given by Len Kerr. Sunday’s service is at 11.30 a.m. It will be a family service with the Sunday club and will be followed by a soup and sandwich lunch given by the Sunday Club and all donations will go to Christian Aid. If you can’t stay for lunch but would still like to donate to Christian Aid there will be an open plate at the door. Dates for diaries - Sunday Club session will finish on May 17. A new group will start on Tuesday, May 19 at 2 p.m. is called the Chit Chat Club and is open to all. This will be instead of the Guild. The format will be a cuppa and a blether every second week. Looking forward to welcoming anyone who just wants to pop in. The Church of Scotland General Assembly meets in Edinburgh on Saturday, May 16 until Friday, May 22. It can be viewed live at Sunday, May 17 - Heart And Soul 2015 is in Princes Street Gardens from 2 p.m. The theme is Living Stones a celebration and exhibition of the life and work of the church. Wednesday, May 20 - Muiravonside Choral Society is holding a Spring concert at 7.30 p.m. No tickets required, all donations for church funds. Thursday, May 28 at 7 p.m. in Redding Church hall, a joint meeting of the Board and Sessions of both churches will take place. The National Stewardship adviser Sandra Holt will be there. If you are not a board member or elder and would like to come along just let the minister know.
