Redding Church

Palm or Passion Sunday was celebrated with the Lent Art image of Jesus falls beneath the Cross, which led to times of reflection on burdens we all carry. The readings by June Simpson were taken from Matthew chapter 27, Galations chapter 6 and the Old Testament was Exodus chapter 17. Sunday’s Easter Service will be at 11.30 a.m. so why not come along and celebrate. Holy Week Services continue with the Thursday service tonight (Thursday) in Brightons Church with a celebration of Maunday Thursday Communion. Good Friday’s Service will be in Muiravonside Church. Both Services are at 7 p.m. There is an invitation to the Congregation from Brightons Friends of Jesus group to join them at their visitors evening on April 24 in Redding Church Hall at 7 p.m. Blackbraes and Shieldhill Church is celebrating its 150th anniversary. A concert by the duo Vangel with tickets priced £6 including supper is to be held on Friday, April 25 at 7.30 p.m.If you miss this there is a further chance to celebrate with a coffee morning/lunch with displays and entertainment on Saturday, April 26 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
