Recycling centre closed as police and ambulance attend incident

The Roughmute recycling centre had to be closed as emergency services rushed to the scene of a traffic accident this morning.

The facility, in Bogton Road near Bonnybridge, saw police and ambulance personnel dealing with the matter just after 8am.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8:20am, police received a report of a one vehicle road crash at the Roughmute Recycling Depot. Emergency services attended and a man has been taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”
