Normally based at the Port of Grangemouth, the team – Jason Thirwall, John Reid, Graeme Tweddie, Scott Mitchell-Lay and Craig Wright – travelled to Perthshire and the Cairngorms last weekend to take part in the infamous 54-mile Cateran Yomp.

Ex-serviceman Jason said: “Never in my life have I been challenged like that. I cannot emphasise how proud I am of all the team. None of us have ever had to dig that deep and it was a huge test – relentless and savage.

“Every single step was worth it because we raised a load of cash and our team made top 10 out of 1040 competitors. We smashed it.”

Money is still coming in and the lads hope to total an impressive £3000.
