Come along and enjoy an evening walk while the sun still shines! This walk leaves from Polmont Station (by the bowling club) at 7 p.m. every Tuesday. Walkers look forward to seeing you there for a blether along the side of the canal. For more information please call (01324) 673703.
The first meeting of the Polmont S.W.R.I. (Rural) will take place in the Polmont Old Parish Church Hall, Main Street, Polmont on Monday, September 15 at 7.30 p.m. when there will be a demonstration of card-making by Catherine Forrest. We look forward to seeing everyone after the summer and welcoming new members to our meetings.

Polmont Park Medical Group - Flu clinics will be held on Monday, October 6 and Wednesday, October 29 between 8.30 a.m. and 8 p.m. If you are over 65 or in an at risk group please contact the surgery to make an appointment.
An event is being held at the Gingerbread Cafe in Polmont on Saturday, September 20 where parents can take their unwanted children’s clothes and exchange them for new ones. It’s a great and very inexpensive way to update your children’s wardrobe. The event will run from 10 a.m. to noon and tickets are available from the cafe now, £2.50 per family.
The Cat Register & Rescue Cat photo show will take place in Greenpark Community Centre, Polmont on Saturday, September 20 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Everyone is welcome to come along and entry to this event is free. As well as a chance to view the photos, there will be stalls, tombola, home baking and the ever popular cafe serving hot and cold snacks. The following Saturday we will also be in the Community Hub in the Howgate from 10 a.m. till 3 p.m. where a selection of the photos will again be displayed. There will be volunteers on hand to answer any questions you might have about the charity. If you have time to spare, please come along and join us. Bring the kids and bring your friends.

The centre is now accepting applications for Art and Sewing Classes. Our art classes for beginner’s starts on Monday, September 25 from 7-9 p.m., art classes for the experienced begins on the same day from 1.30-3.30 p.m.; Sewing classes begin on Monday, September 22 from 7-9 p.m. If you are interested in any of these classes please contact the centre on (01324) 506730, places come on a first come first served basis.
