Harvest Thanksgiving: Thankyou to everyone who supported the Soup & Pudding Lunch last Sunday. The amount raised for Strathcarron was £238.50. Blythswood Care’s 2014 Shoebox Appeal: Filled boxes should be brought to church no later than Sunday, November 9. There are some rules for filling the boxes so please pick up a leaflet beforehand from the church foyer or for more information speak to Betty Glen. Remembrance Sunday, November 9: We are looking for three volunteers to assist with the Cenotaph Service at 12.15 p.m. If you are able to assist please speak to Mr Ian McLean (Session Clerk).
St Margaret’s School PTA Christmas Fayre will be held on Saturday, November 22 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in the school (Salmon Inn Road). There will be lots to do for both adults and children. A wide variety of gift stalls from local businesses will offer the opportunity to do some Christmas shopping while the kids are entertained with games, face painting, tattoos, crafting activities, Santa’s Grotto and more. Refreshments will be available throughout the day. Entry at the door £1 per adult and 50p per child.
Scottish Country Dancing - Get your body and mind in shape! The local RSCDS class meets in Polmont Old Church Hall (parking to rear of Hall off Greenpark Drive) from 7.45 to 9.15 p.m. on a Wednesday. This class is for more experienced dancers. Beginners please refer to our classes in the Laurieston section. For further details ring Alison on 01324-631363. Buggy group meets every Monday 12.30 p.m. in the car park at the back of the church hall. After the walk mums are invited back to the mother and toddler group for tea/coffee. This group is supported by your local health visitors.
