The local Scottish Country Dancing class meets in Polmont Old Church Hall (parking to rear of Hall off Greenpark Drive) from 7.45 to 9.15 p.m. on a Wednesday night. This class is for more experienced dancers. Beginners please refer to our classes in the Laurieston section. For further details ring Alison on (01324) 631363. The group meets every Monday, 12.30 p.m. at the car park behind the church hall in Polmont. After the walk the group go back to the hall where there is a very well run mother and toddler group. Forth Valley Coeliac Group is holding its AGM on Saturday, May 16 from 11.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. The AGM at noon will be followed by a fish and chip meal from Land and Sea (orders and money will be taken between 11.30 to 11.50 a.m. We would be delighted to welcome all our members and anyone else with an interest in the gluten free lifestyle. Twinspire: The Easter edition is due for distribution on Palm Sunday (March 29), so the deadline for articles is this Sunday. The theme will be Easter and Spring, and the Kirk Diary will be covering April and May - this will include end of term dates for the various organisations. Fellowship News: On March 23 we will have a joint meeting with the History Group to mark the 120th anniversary of the Guild in Polmont. Ian Scott will help us to understand what was happening in 1895 and celebrate the contribution our Women’s Group has made to the local and wider church over the years. All are welcome to this meeting. Elders’ Away Day: This is booked for Saturday, March 28 from 9.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. in Cross House, Linlithgow. Cost is £7 payable to Session Clerk by March 16. Concert: A concert by Edinburgh Gorgie Salvation Army Brass Band will be held in the Church on Friday, March 20 at 7.30 p.m. Tickets priced £5 are available from members of the fundraising committee.

A concert by Edinburgh Gorgie Salvation Army Brass Band will be held in Polmont Old Parish Church on Friday, March 20 at 7.30 p.m. Admission of £5 may be paid on the night.
The Greenpark Lunch Club meet on a Wednesday and Friday in the Greenpark Centre in Polmont and has a few vacancies for new members. A two-course lunch is served followed by a cup of tea and plenty of chat. Members enjoyed the group meeting with entertainment by the Sweet Harmony Barber’s Shop Chorus. The next meeting is on Monday March 16 in the Polmont church hall where Sian Press will demonstrate making a glass pendant. Members will be able to ‘have a go’ so come along and give it a try. Visitors are very welcome.
