Polmont Woodlands Group’s AGM has been re-scheduled for Thursday, August 13 at 7 p.m. in Greenpark Community Centre, Polmont. All Welcome.
Polmont Hillwalking Club will be climbing Ben Cruachan near Dalmally on Sunday (June 28). This is a high level mountain route with two Munros. If you are interested in joining us then please contact Andy Govan on (01324) 711915, or get more information from www.polmonthillwalkingclub.org.
On Sunday, morning service will be conducted by Rev. Debbie van Welie at 11 a.m. Choir practice at 9.45 a.m. Prayer Meeting in the Vestry at 10.30 a.m. No Youth Church. Creche in the Fellowship Room at 11 a.m. On duty are N Rule and H Park. Duty for Reading will be S Redfern and Prayer will be N Black. Flower Distributor is E Brown, Flower Donation by N Stirling. ACTs duty will be S Gow and H Young. Lunch Bunch - The group will be taking a rest during the school holidays. Thank you to everyone who has supported the Lunch Bunch this year and we look forward to seeing you all again on September 10 at 11.30 a.m. Polmont Old Parish Church Holiday Club - This year’s programme is called ‘Mission Rescue’. All children P1 (age five to P7) are welcome to join us for the club. It will run for a whole week from Monday, August 10 to Friday, August 14 every morning from 10 a.m. (registration 9.30 a.m. on Monday morning only) to noon. It will all take place at the Church Hall in Main Street, Polmont and, weather permitting, on the fields of the Greenpark Centre. There is no cost for the mornings. All our helpers are cleared through Disclosure Scotland or PVG scheme. To book a place at the holiday club please firstname.lastname@example.org with your child’s name and age. We look forward to seeing you in August. There will be a short meeting for all helpers at 12.15 p.m. in the Session House on Sunday (June 28).
Ivybank Nursing Home - The Summer Fete last Saturday went very well and the organisers wish to thank all who came to support this event, to the helpers and a special thank you to local businesses for donations. The total raised for the residents’ leisure fund was £900.
Buggy group is off over the school holidays. Please join us at Falkirk Stadium to do the Helix walk, every Monday 1.15 p.m. from front doors of Falkirk football Stadium.
Meeting at Polmont station by the bowling club to start our walk for 7 p.m., this hour walk takes in the beautiful scenery of the Union Canal. Come along and enjoy some evening fresh air with our friendly walkers and Walk Leaders. For more information please call (01324) 673703.
