“Walkies!” The perennial call by dog owners took on a new life last week for members of Polmont Probus Club. That’s when George Donaldson, a club member, described his fascinating and, at times, poignant experiences as a dog owner initially then as one who, for many years, travelled around the world judging at international shows. His progress as a judge, from limited shows to judging at Crufts on many occasions, as well as in Scandinavia, the Far East, Australia and New Zealand, enraptured the members. Following questions most capably dealt with the vote of thanks was proposed by Jim Anderson. Hector McKenzie was in the chair.
