Glo-sticks, disco lights and dancing divas are normally associated with teenagers, but one mum is running them for a younger age group.

Tamsin Else from Polmont has turned her idea for a fun way to entertain her children into a blossoming business.

Tamsin runs Eventulitious Events which hosts Wee Boppers Discos, where youngsters get the chance to dance their cares away in a fun and friendly environment. Already she has organised a heart-themed Valentine event, a Disney disco with a Princess singer, and a Glastonbaby festival complete with pop-up tents!

Childminder Tamsin and husband Chris have four children – Jonathan (16), Timothy (8), Blair (3) and 18-month-old Sofia.

Tamsin said: “I found there was nothing for children to do at weekends, especially when the weather is bad. You can take them to soft play, but you just get there and lose your children! You can’t take your own food in either.

“The only place children get the chance to dance is at a birthday party. Our discos are focussed on the children.”

So far the events have attracted hundreds of youngsters up to the age of eight – with the youngest being just three weeks old.

It’s also turning into a family affair for Tamsin, with Jonathan helping with the events.

Tamsin added; “The children love it. I’ve got lots of
returning customers.”

The next event Tamsin has planned is a Halloween disco, complete with glow-in-the-dark facepaints and toys, on Sunday, November 3, at Beancross. Tickets at www.weeboppersdiscos.co.uk.
