Falkirk Council’s two household waste recycling hours will operating different opening hours from Monday, August 17.

The latest changes to opening hours means the amenity tips will each be open five days a week instead of the seven days they have been operating recently.

Roughmute will be closed on a Tuesday and Wednesday, while Kinneil will be closed on a Thursday and Friday.

On the days they are operating the sites will be open to the public from 8am to 6pm with last entry to the sites at 5.45pm.

Falkirk Council reopened both recycling centres following the enforced Covid-19 pandemic lockdown on June 1.

Nearly 50,000 vehicles visited the sites in the first seven weeks.

A number of measures have been taken at the sites in line with government guidance to help protect staff and measures of the public.
