Operating changes approved at Larbert Bowling Club despite objections
The board heard the complaints included concerns over parking but that wasn’t something it had any control over.
One person also complained about the club setting off fireworks but the club’s licensing solicitor, Gordon Emslie, denied emphatically that the club had been responsible.

The objections also mentioned excessive noise but the board heard that no-one had raised this issue before so environmental health officers had not had a chance to look into the matter.
The board was told that the licence had not been updated since 2010 and there had been several changes made that should be reflected in their licence, including providing bar meals for functions and hosting children’s birthday parties.
The board heard that the club is well run and works with the local primary school to introduce them to the sport.

Members of the board agreed to the application as applied for.
