New online survey to find out about travel habits across Falkirk

Falkirk Council wants to know more about how local people are travelling to places such as work, shops or education - and in particular the effect Covid has had.

An online public transport survey is asking people who live, work or attend college locally to tell them about their journeys.

The 10-minute survey will look at the length of journeys, modes of transport and reasons for travel and all answers are confidential.

Similar surveys have been done since 2008 and the council says that knowing more about how travel habits have changed will help plan the network for the future.

Councillor Paul Garner, spokesperson for the environment said: “The survey will help us plan ahead in looking at where our transport priorities should be.

"COVID-19 has changed dramatically how we get about locally and by completing this survey we can better understand how people’s lives have changed and what we need to invest in moving forward.”
